Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cream of tarter
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in milk
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour sifted

Directions
Sift dry ingredients together. Cream shortening and add sugar, egg and mix until light and fluffy.

Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to sugar mixture. Bake for 10 minutes in a 400-degree oven.

Decorate with icing or by using sprinkles if desired.
