A Puppy Chow Recipe for the Kids

This puppy chow recipe is an excellent snack for kids and grownups alike. I think we have about as much fun making it as we do eating it.

Puppy chow is basically chex cereal covered in a peanut butter and chocolate mixture and then coated with powdered sugar. I really enjoy making up a bunch of this and taking it to the office during holidays or just an anytime gesture.

I have ran across several variations of this stuff and feel free to experiment but here is the one we use at my house. Make it a family affair and let the kids help do the mixing, shaking, etc. and watch them having the time of their lives.

Quality family time is extremely important.. let this be a good excuse to spend some.

Puppy Chow Recipe

Put powdered sugar in a large brown bag (such as a grocery bag). Put aside. Spread out rice chex cereal on waxed paper. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together and pour over the cereal. Put cereal (while still hot from mixture)in bag with sugar and shake. Put in bowl and serve.
